Simon 4 Texas

Designing a bold, youth-driven political campaign for a historically conservative district demanded more than a fresh look—it required a sharp, strategic shift in tone. Simon Cardell’s run for office was anchored in progressive values, but the real challenge was building a brand that could resonate across generations and political lines. At Nicolai Fitzgerald, we developed a campaign identity that felt fresh, credible, and deeply human—balancing grassroots energy with approachability and trust.

From voice and messaging to visual design and field materials, every element was crafted to feel modern but grounded, energetic but intentional. The result: a campaign that stood out from the noise and spoke directly to the people it aimed to serve.

The Simon 4 Texas logo is clean and declarative. We developed a mark that balances urgency with composure—bold enough to stand out on signage, refined enough to build long-term recognition. The design leans on structure and clarity, reinforcing Simon’s grounded presence and pragmatic approach.

Colors

The campaign palette moves beyond red, white, and blue—introducing saturated tones that evoke energy, integrity, and Texas heat. These colors help communicate a sense of urgency and approachability while setting the campaign apart in a visually crowded landscape. Every hue was chosen to carry weight across physical and digital platforms, from yard signs to social ads.

Fonts

Typography plays a lead role in shaping the campaign’s voice. We used a bold, geometric sans for headlines—straightforward, energetic, and readable at every scale. Paired with a warmer, more conversational body typeface, the system gives the campaign materials structure without stiffness. The tone is confident, not aggressive; clear, not clinical.
